Hi there! I'm Xianzhi Zeng, also call me Tony if you'd like to.
I am now a full-time PhD student in Singapore University of Technology and Design
(SUTD), under the supervision
of Assistant Professor Shuhao Zhang,
and I have
obtained the bachelor’s degree from
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China
(UESTC).
After years of playing with Raspberry Pi, ESP32, MSP430, etc. in undergraduate study (as involution with
peers in course study is NOT my dishes/卷GPA卷不动), I am about to make the IoT world more friendly to both mankind and our planet with my diverse knowledge background (not Fourteen sick/不是中二).
I'd like to push the boundaries and make contributions to the data management community during my journey while working together with the innovative power of the east and the west against the global energy crisis and the ever-increasing computational demand.
Online data management systems
Green computing
Edge-cloud collaborated computing
There is an ever-increasing demand for high-performance online data analytics at the edge, but there is no Darth Sidious and the energy budget is usually constrained...
Our recent works aim at improving the energy efficiency of edge-based online database, while providing the necessary high performance and making you ''as if'' you are Darth Sidious with unlimited power:
AllianceDB (C++) is an open-source benchmark suite for evaluating and improving stream operation algorithms on modern hardwares.
CStream(C++) is an open-source framework of data stream compression on multicore edge devices.
